This past year I chose to deepen my healing journey after experiencing a break up, burnout, & depression simultaneously. Yes, all 3 at once. I wasn’t sure how I was going to come out of the dark hole, but I did and I am here to share the wisdom so that whenever you are going through the darkness, you can allow this to be a light. One truth I know for sure is that when you hit rock bottom, if you do the work on yourself, you will rise so much higher than you ever have before. Rock bottom prepares you for greatness. Here is what I know for sure:1. The Power of Community When you heal in community where you can show up as you are, your healing will expand & deepen in the most beautiful way. What tends to happen for a lot of people is they withdraw & go into isolation when they are hurting. This can make the stories in your mind take you down a dark hole, making it even harder to heal. Find a community that can support you, tell you the truth, & pour love into you.
2. Stop Expecting Modern Medicine to Heal youThere is a time & place for traditional healing methods like talk therapy & psychotropic medications, & it works for some things, for some people, but it isn’t what created massive change in my life. I chose to go on my own journey to find what else was out there. Healing circles, plant medicine, energy healing, Holistic EMDR, hypnotherapy, & coaching have made a profound impact on me. Find what works for you❤️3. Radical HonestyIf you desire transformation, you’ll need to be radically honest about what you want, what gets to change, and what you have been lying to yourself about. Truth is the highest vibrational frequency, and when you aren’t living there, you will not heal. Tell the truth to yourself & others.4. Vulnerability is Strength. Acting Tough is not.No one has it all figured out. We all experience hardship, loss, & pain, but we’ve been conditioned to hide the parts of ourselves we believe are not good enough or are shameful. Vulnerability is required for authentic connection, and it will open up doors & relationships your facade never will. It’s safe to be vulnerable.5. The Healing Journey Never EndsHealing is a gift you get to give yourself & the world. You don’t have to do it, you get to. When you know it’s a lifetime journey, you can stop putting timelines and pressure on yourself to be “ healed.” You will cycle through the same stuff over & over, which doesn’t mean you haven’t healed that thing, it means you get to heal it on a deeper level.6. Don’t Rely on Books and Self Study to Heal You
The entire point of working with a coach/healer is for us to point out your blind spots and reflect to you the things you cannot see. I have a coach and a therapist in addition to various healers, depending on what I need in the moment. Without working with others who can hold a safe space for me, show me what I’m not seeing, and help me implement new ways of thinking and being, I would not be where I am today. Have the courage to hire the help you need.
Happy healing. Remember, to get to where you’re going, you must let go of what no longer serves your highest good. Need help? Book a consultation with me to talk about how I can guide you through your transformation HERE
